Finding Renewed Purpose
Teaching Home Bible Studies and Mentoring
I am approaching my 29th Holy Ghost and 69th physical birthday. I teach Sunday School and volunteer at our food pantry. My first love is teaching “one on one” Bible studies. I came to Jesus because a dynamic Bible study teacher taught, mentored, and loved me through tough times.
I loved Exploring God's Word and began teaching it. My students received the same love and care that was shown me. For several years now, I was disappointed because few people were interested in a Bible Study. This, coupled with being older left me feeling discouraged.
When UPCI Sages 55+ began I started looking at things differently and have been feeling optimistic and excited. God has brought a young lady (30) to our church who needs God. We have been meeting for Bible Study. She has also asked me to mentor her. Another young lady who attends asked me to teach her to crochet. Thankfully, she is also in a Bible Study, but with another teacher. I am grateful to have the opportunity to pour into these lovely young women.
I’m seeing that there is purpose for me. I encourage everyone to get on this wonderful bandwagon called UPCI Sages and find your place in this stage of life in the kingdom work.

A primary objective of UPCI Sages is to alert you to evangelism opportunities. While Ellen is teaching younger ladies, those of the Sage age are among the loneliest people in North America. Lonely people are receptive to friendships, and friendships lead to declaring the gospel. And consider, the tens of thousands of Sage age backsliders. Be part of the "I Can" evangelize culture..
