Derwood & Nancy Tate
Derwood and Nancy Tate are dedicated members of the United Pentecostal Church, serving as the Southwest Regional Directors of the Sages Ministry. They reside in Denver, Colorado, where they planted The Upper Room UPC in 1988 and have been pastoring it ever since.
Derwood Tate's journey in faith began at Parkway Apostolic Church in Oak Creek, WI. He was baptized in Jesus' name on January 12th, 1975, by Pastor Frank Tamel. In 1982, he was licensed with The United Pentecostal Church and has held various roles both locally and nationally. For 10 years, he served on the Colorado Youth Committee, and from 1996 to 2001, he was the Colorado District Sunday School Director. Additionally, Bro. Tate served as the North American Missions Director for 8 years and as the Presbyter of the Denver Metro section for 16 years.
Sis. Nancy Tate has also been actively involved in ministry, serving the Ladies division for 18 years as a sectional director and ladies district secretary.
The Tates have been happily married since April 1983 and have been blessed with two children, Chauncey and Kenneth, and two grandchildren, Angus and Waylon.
Derwood and Nancy Tate have found fulfillment in their years of service and are excited to collaborate with other ministers, including our National Directors, Bro. and Sis. Coon, in building and establishing an impactful Sages ministry within The United Pentecostal Church.
